Handmade Kitchens, Bedrooms and Freestanding Furniture

Based in Colchester, on the Essex - Suffolk border, Dovetails was started in 1993, by Malcolm Norton. Malcolm originally started work as an antique restorer in 1976 and moved onto handmade kitchens and bespoke bedroom furniture in 1983. From the start Dovetails' aim has been to provide a service that is second to none, and by the response we get from our satisfied customers this has certainly been achieved.

As well as fully fitted and freestanding handmade kitchens and bedrooms, we also manufacture and fit study furniture for both private homes and commercial offices. All design work is carried out either by ourselves or we can work with your own architect or interior designer. Our work will only be installed by us.

We can supply all major brands of appliances including Neff, Miele, Bosch and Rangemaster.

All associated works, including electrical, plumbing and tiling can also be taken care of.

We have good working relationships with a number of local builders and property developers.
